It is easy to recycle old sand and recovery rate can be up to about 90%. Its effect on saving new sand, reducing transportation, preventing harmful wastes is significant. It is mainly used for large casts. Among cast iron, gray iron is better; ductile iron casts’ requirement of sulfur content of resin-sand is high.
